Music soothes the soul…and the liquor.
When Tommy's girls were babies, he would sing or play recordings of his music to them when they had colic or were fussy, and they would immediately calm down.
We’ll let you in on a little secret, our barrels of aged moonshine are the same way.
Tommy's music has been ringing through our barrels for the past couple of years at a low tone, making those white oak barrels resonate and vibrate the liquor inside, giving it those smooth, oaky, caramel notes.
From time to time, Tommy will sit inside the middle of the barrel room playing his guitar and singing at a loud volume to make the vibration and resonation more intense—so you can enjoy those smooth, rich flavors.

From old guitars to bourbon barrels…everything gets better with time.
The more you play a guitar, the better it sounds. The strumming resonates and vibrates the wood, making smooth tones and sounds. A good liquor is no different.
These award-winning bottles are made using the same family recipe you taste in GDM’s line of original and flavored moonshines, but we put it into bourbon barrels straight from the still and it’s aged for exactly two years.
Every barrel is different because they all have a distinct taste/char to them - this makes each bottle of barrel-aged ‘shine unique, but all carry the same body and smoothness.
It has a very velvety texture on the tongue and an earthy, rich flavor.
Every barrel produces a different number of bottles. It’s always fun to see how many bottles we end up getting (from evaporations and whatnot, some barrels lose multiple gallons, others are not bothered) and each is numbered with the barrel # and the bottle #.
Our Barrel Program is bringing This "Best of the Best" limited edition moonshine to 12 liquor stores in Georgia and Florida this spring.
For the first time ever, our barrel-aged moonshine will be available to purchase at select stores. This is the first time you’ll be able to find barrel-aged moonshine in stores! Prior, this was only sold limited runs at the GDM distillery.
Twelve liquor store locations in Georgia and Florida will have the product available. Plus, each store will be displaying the barrel that the bottles were aged in. We’ll update the list below throughout the year to showcase our liquor store partners!
